FIVE DAYS IN THE WILD
Your Makhasa Photography Journey
Five days and four nights dedicated to wildlife photography, learning and enjoying the African bush.
Our programme balances early-morning and late-afternoon game drives with practical tuition, image reviews and time to relax. Activities remain flexible to make the most of wildlife sightings, weather and photographic opportunities.
Day 1 — Arrival & Orientation
Arrive at Makhasa Private Game Lodge,
settle into your suite and meet your fellow
photographers. We'll discuss the workshop
programme, photographic objectives and
preparations for our first game drive.
Days 2–3 — Photography in the Field
Early-morning and late-afternoon photographic
drives provide opportunities to practise camera
techniques, autofocus, composition and
anticipating wildlife behaviour. Between drives,
we'll review images and discuss techniques.
Day 4 — Refining Your Photography
Continue developing your field skills with a morning and afternoon phtographic drives, applying
feedback from previous sessions and working
towards stronger, more intentional wildlife
photographs.
Day 5 — Final Reflections & Departure
Enjoy a final early-morning photographic game
drive before returning to the lodge for
breakfast, concluding discussions and departure.

Share the Experience
Your partner doesn't need to be a photographer to enjoy Makhasa. Non-photographing partners are welcome to share your accommodation and enjoy the lodge's hospitality, meals, game drives and beautiful surroundings.
While photographers participate in dedicated photographic drives and tuition, partners can enjoy the wildlife experience at their own pace, relax at the lodge and share time together in the African bush.
